Despite Ward’s assertion that USB boot is pre-configured, only a RPi4B with recent EEPROM content will boot from USB without the RPi having been previously booted from a SD card and the relevant steps in https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/raspberrypi/bootmodes/msd.md carried out.

Note that if you want to use 5 GHz Wi-Fi you should ensure you have the correct country code in wpa_supplicant.conf.

Hah Unca Ward has done real good. Glad to see the successor to PIAF is in great hands. Kind of makes we want to take it all apart again….. Pity we never found a phone housing to put a PI in……

Having trouble getting off NET extensions to work – it’s not a router/network problem as a previous RasPi Inc’PBX install (working for 5 years) was fine till it hit the dust on sudden power failure. Have installed public IP in NAT config and SIP trunks work OK (all be it after some hair tearing of the configuration) Any pointers please.

P.S. I understand the security risks 🙂

Mine is kernel panicking also with BCM2835 hardware message along with "this architecture does not have kernel memory protection" on a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B.

The Sourceforge link clearly shows support for Pi 2 and 3 even though it is strongly suggested that you use a Pi 4.

I’m trying to install on a Pi3 with a USB stick instead of a SD card as the boot medium. The booting works, but the boot process hangs around 4 seconds in. It appears to be trying to do something with the SD card (that I don’t have inserted) just before all progress stops.

Am I SOL?

Turns out adding the Asterisk Phonebook was simple enough to do. 1 Download and install "Phonebook" module 2 Download and install "Speed Dial Functions" module 3 Download and install "Phonebook Directory" module 4 customize Feature Code for "Phonebook dial-by-name directory" (change to 413)

I’ve noticed that the Asterisk Phonebook is missing. Is this something that will be included in a future update?
