Any updates to doing this on the new and even lower cost second generation Apple TV (that little black box)? Wouldn't it be sweet to run Asterisk on this little guy which is about the size of a hockey puck? But don't hold your breath, the second generation Apple TV uses the A4 chip (same chip that's inside an iPad and iPhone 4) and I highly doubt that Asterisk source could compile on the A4 (but maybe I'm wrong?).

"Mac OS X are based upon open source software for which Apple didn’t pay a nickel."

I would agree, IF my mac was not the BEST personal computer I have ever owned. No lockups, 16 to 32 watts of power consumption, iLife, and feature rich. The root of the OS might have been open source, but apple has fine tuned, tweaked, and made it the best in my opinion. I think they took that open source from a pig to a gazelle (leopard).

Just the whole house audio / video side combination of mac, airport, appleTV and iphone are enough to make anyone happy.

As for my appletv I love it, runs to hot but great. I have been thinking about appletv flash for the easy updates and removal in case a new load breaks stuff.
Please keep up the GREAT work.
