Any possibility you can write a step by step guide for using a2billing? I read what you wrote, I read the few "stepbystep" guides posted in the a@h page in sourceforge, but cant get it to work. Since I followed your installation to the letter i can assume that if you give a step by step guide it will be in a language and level I can understand and it will probably work :)
thanks.

Hi. Thanks for your great, easy-to-read, easy-to-follow instructions. I'm totally new to VoIP, Asterisk & Linux. In fact, this is my first encounter with them all.

Q 1: I updated the cent-os and now it gives me an option in GRUB(?) to use the old one or the new updated one. The default is the old. How can I make the new updated version the default?

[WM: They're in the correct order. Just don't touch anything and your system will boot properly. Then complete the rest of the setup.]

Q 2: Like others before me, I too am getting the "All circuits are busy now, please try again later" message whene I try to place a call. I followed all of the instructions and checked them 4 times. I can't see what's wrong. I looked in the maint->Ast Info report and it looks like I'm on with Telesip. I can't place or receive calls using x-lite on 200 to test. Any suggestions?

[WM: Log in as root. Run asterisk -r, then set verbose 10. Try to place a call and see what the Asterisk monitor says. It will tell you what's not working.]

I got AAH 2.0 installed, would like to upgrade to 2.1, but there does not seem to be a way to do it. Any ideas?
BTW, I am running it on a VM under VMWARE 5.5 . The only problem is that the clock drifts a lot. Will need to fix via a cron job.

[WM: There just isn't an easy way that I know of to upgrade from one version of AAH to another. Sorry.]

I know you hear this a lot, but thanks for the great blogs. This is my first try at * and your articles and *@Home have really help me start to understand *. Plus watching the calls run through the scripts using CLI and verbose 5 :o)

Reading the post above, I'm now wishing I went with *@Home 2.1. Being a Cisco guy by trade, I went with 1.5 - In Cisco land, no one ever goes for the newest code; wishing I did. (So does my wife, since it's our home phones that I'm tinkering around with)

Great article. Maybe you could write something about the new real time possibilities that are now included in Asterisk 1.2 and are available to enable in the new A@H 2.1. It seems to work great even though AMP still think you should reload after every change (do you really need to do that?)

Keep up the good work!
