Hello - Thx so much for this article. I filled in the pre qualification form for Skyetel but cannot sign up at their site coz they require a USA SMS number - I am in India. - trying a free one or even signing up to SMS enable at callcentric.com says "this is not a mobile number" at skyetel website....any suggestions? Thx...

[WM: At the moment, Skyetel service is limited to North America. But stay tuned. :-) ]

The support folks at Skyetel have figured it out, though I guess I should have guessed this given their architecture: I need to open my pfSense box to allow UDP on ports 10000-20000 from the entire Internet, not just from their five IPs. Once I did that, I have two-way audio on incoming calls--now to set up an outbound route and test that...

I also have no audio (in either direction) on incoming calls (haven't yet tried outgoing). I've added NAT=yes to all six trunks, I've forwarded 5060 and 10000-20000 to the PBX (Incredible 13-12.3 on Ubuntu 18.04, Asterisk 13.22.0) following the pfSense docs, and I've edited sip_general_custom.conf to specify my external IP address. I've also set the NAT settings under Chan SIP settings to Yes and Static IP (I do have a static IP). The system disconnects the call after 30 seconds with this message:

[2018-11-20 06:33:53] NOTICE[27790]: chan_sip.c:29632 check_rtp_timeout: Disconnecting call 'SIP/Skyetel-1-00000016' for lack of RTP activity in 31 seconds

PJSIP trunks are configured for Google Voice, but not for Skyetel. But when I try to do the PJSIP fix linked above, I don't find an "allow reload" option. Where should I go from here?

[WM: Have you whitelisted the Skyetel IP addresses in IPtables using add-ip?]

So far, so good, sure appreciate the help!

It may be worth mentioning that in some cases you may need to go into Applications -> Extensions and change the Outbound CID to your new Skyetel (or other) phone number. I forgot to do this initially, and my calls were still displaying my old Google Voice (R.I.P.) number.

I'm able to make and receive calls with Skyetel, but I have no audio on any of the calls. I've set my NAT parameters (asterisk is behind my firewall) globally as well as on the Skyetel trunks. In addition to no audio, when I terminate a call from either end of the call, the other end is not aware the call is terminated. Any thoughts? I've also searched on the PIAF forums, and have seen someone ask the question, but with no responses as of yet.
