Has anyone tried these alternate authentication under PureFTPd Managers preferences – Authentication tab?

I logged in from inside lan using my internal ip could this cause this?

However users have to log in via my (static) IP – I haven’t figured out how to set up a domain name http://ftp.example.com to point to my IP.

Any ideas?
