Very helpfull guide. I'm curious about the other ways of authentication. There are options for mysql, postgres and most interestingly - LDAP.

Has anyone tried these alternate authentication under PureFTPd Managers preferences - Authentication tab?

Not much in the way of directions from the program author.

Great site!

I have installed CrushFTP http://www.crushftp.com which works very well. However users have to log in via my (static) IP - I haven't figured out how to set up a domain name ftp.example.com to point to my IP.

Any ideas?
