I have a system that is awesome running 3.6 ( actually something newer ) with Asterisk 1.8.19.1 and Fpbx 2.11.0.20 on a Pie.

Is there an upgrade path to 3.11 or do I have to re-bake everything?

( I hate to break a working system )

I'm going to get to one of you classes one of these day, this is so impressive!

It looks like with OBi100 the only way out and in is through VoIP. I want to receive all analogue incoming calls and dial some through VoIP and others through the analogue line with the help of dialing rules. Something like what a Fritz!Box 7330 or 7390 can do. But they are expensive, I can't tweak that much and they don't involve a Pi :(

[WM: OBi110 will support a Ma Bell trunk as well as an analog extension on your PBX.]

Hi! Is there any way to expand Pi so analogue phones can be connected and Dialing rules be set up?

[WM: Sure. Add an OBi100 device and you're all set to add a set of analog cordless phones.]

Is there a simple method of elegantly turning off the Raspberry Pi? I am using Windows and can only access the Raspberry Pi through the Incredible Pi's web based GUI using a browser.

Is there any way to do this with something other than Google Voice? I live in Canada and GV is not yet available here and it isn't easy to get around their restrictions as you have to send verification info to a US number.

[WM: Sure. Works with any SIP provider for about a penny a minute. See the list included in the article for some suggestions.]
