I have setup travelingman and everything works but when after an ip changes, i have to manually restart the iptables. Ipchecker does not restart iptables automaticly. I have checked all the permissions and the crontabs and its all fine.

<i>[WM: If you're using an FQDN for your main IP address and it is not a static IP address, then use add-fqdn to add the same FQDN so that it will be picked up by ipchecker when it runs.]</i>

Just installed pbxinaflash20631-i386.iso Green with 2.11 using Google Voice. I got google voice incoming working just fine, however when I place an outbound call it seems to work, but as soon as the call is answered the call disconnects. It initiates the outbound connection so the phone rings, but once you answer the phone the call immediately fails.

Nevermind, you can ignore/delete this and the previous comment. The code still works. Apparently I had an account at one time with an upaid balance. Shame on me. I paid it and now I'm able to get it to work. Thanks!

I'm trying to signup with rentpbx using the promotion code listed above (PIAF2012). Their site says the code isn't valid. Is there a new code for this year?

trying to set up traveling man 3 on Incredible PBX 3.5 on a PI - the dig command was not found.

sudo apt-get install dns-browse

installed and it it now appears to be working. Not sure this is the best way to install it, but it worked if anyone runs into the same issue.

Going to give this a try. Wondering if the reload of iptables will sever any active calls.

I only have one complaint right now. /root??? Seriously? Not /etc, not /usr/local?

Great info! Got my account at RentPBX! Do you have info for people that have 4 phones at home behind a NAT/router on 192.168.1.0 network with DynDNS active in the router? Do the extensions need their own FQDN, or will they all use myrouter.dyndns.org? Help.

<i>WM: Just one FQDN per site is all you need.</i>

Ward, nice article. I've been using apf (advanced policy firewall) to do the same thing for years. I always wondered why no one else was doing it. All your hard work is appreciated.
