Ward, why do your directions here (and in other blogs relating to I-PBX startup) offer the following for obtaining the extension 701 password and its VM password, involving Mysql and Grepping?:

"Decipher the randomized password for extension 701. It’s in the data field"

"Decipher the randomized voicemail password for extension 701. It’s the first entry"

I always just login to FreePBX and view the extension, where both passwords are plain as day...

[WM: Different strokes. Most prefer the web interface. But some are diehard Linux fans. Either way works. And we like documenting both methods so everybody understands that this really isn't rocket science.]

I'm a bit confused about the directions. I successfully installed Debian onto the 16GB SD card as per Qui's blog. The Pogoplug boots to it fine. Now, your direction state to download & install Incredible PBX on to a 16GB SD Card. Is this a second SD card that we install the PBX on? The first SD card has the Debian installed and the Pogoplug has booted to the installed Debian. The Pogoplug only has one SD slot. Clarification would be much appreciated.

[WM: Use the same card or a different one. Then plug it in and boot the Pogoplug.]

Well, I got my two pieces from Rakuten for $7.99 each with free shipping last month, they were sold out in hours once word got out on DSLReports.

But the price increase makes that $18.98 hot pink E02 I got yesterday look a little better. They still have ten left - hurry!

Pink series 4: SATA interface (for 2.5 inch hard drives/ssd's), one USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0..
Cheaper Blue: one USB 2.0

Both come with SD card port and gigabit ethernet..

The relatively weak processor on these units constrain the performance of any one port, i.e. you won't get anywhere near gigabit speed on the ethernet.. But for the pbx application it's still adequate.

I live in Denmark and normally buy items within the European zone on eBay.co.uk or Amazon.co.uk – but here the price on Pugoplug is £40-56 equal to $65-91 without shipment. Luckily the import/tax/vat/duty has a floor trigger on $14, so I was able to buy it through Amazon International for the price $10.95 and the shipment & handling cost of $16.48. Total cost 27.43 is equal to £16.82 and is still cheap.
Could someone explain the different between the cheap blue Pogoplug and the pink Pogoplug series 4?

[WM: One extra USB port on the pink series 4. Blue pogo only has 1, but it works fine for WiFi adapter.]

Glad that POGO-V4-A1-01 worked out for you. The only way it could have turned out better is if Rakuten still had them for $7.99 shipped free. They sold out within hours on August 18th. I got two of them then.

[WM: Thanks. Appreciate the tip.]

The Pogoplug Mobile POGO-POGO-V4-A1-01 is also suitable, and a bit cheaper too. I picked up several from Rakuten for $7.99 each with free shipping but they are all gone at that price.

Amazon still has them.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005GM1Q1O

Plenty available on ebay too.

[WM: Ordered one tonight. Hoping it works. Will report back late Wednesday.]
