After the initial XiVO server setup, you’ll need to choose at least one trunk provider so that you can make outbound calls and receive incoming calls. By all means, read all of the Trunk Provider tutorials and choose the ones that best meet your needs. Unlike traditional phone service, there’s no need to put all of your eggs in one basket. You only pay for VoIP services that you use so there is little harm in signing up with multiple providers.
Once you have your providers set up, it’s a simple matter to create inbound routes to process incoming calls and outbound routes to handle your outgoing calls to traditional telephones. The rest is icing on the cake that you can learn about as you go along. Some of the tutorials aren’t finished just yet, but we’ll get there. Enjoy the ride!
